Smallie fishing is outstanding. Fish are still in close to shore and all methods work well. My favorite are rattletrap shad. Muskie casting a bit slow but good trolling action can be hot in the dumping grounds. I still like to cast for the ski's. A followup strike is worth the wait ! Walleye action in the Detroit river near Alter Road is good. Up in my neck of the woods St. Clair is producing some nice catches of eyes. Get out and fish and take a youngster with you. lol

(17) Casting for Musky has started but slow due to the late spring and cool temps. Musky will start snapping any day now. My customer caught this one casting a buck-tail yesterday. razz (stick out tongue)

Wow! What a different a day makes. Cleaner water found in ths Canadian side of the river produce a great catch.
Fisherman the fishing in the river this season has been good most of the spring season. The weather has beed a problem. But, having said that the rain has keep the fish active for daytime fishing. Bait fish are plentiful in the river. Both shinners and smelt are present. If you need someone to show you how, where, and when to fish call Capt Tom. This weekend should produce good catched daytime or night. call 586-337-1951 lol

(12) Walleye fishing the river has slowed due to the continous rainfall. American side muddy the Canadian side maybe fishable. Bass season catch and release is currently on. Catch and keep opens June 18th. A great time to interduce young people to fishing. The bite is excellent !
