(12) Walleye fishing the river has slowed due to the continous rainfall. American side muddy the Canadian side maybe fishable. Bass season catch and release is currently on. Catch and keep opens June 18th. A great time to interduce young people to fishing. The bite is excellent !

(11) The last 5 days walleye fishing has been terrific. Yes limits or near limit. Salmon / Trout seem to have left the river system but a stagler still caught. Muskie have been caught. These fish seem to follow the walleye migration. A jig tipped with a plastic worm or twister tail works best most days. Night time anglers are doing well too.

Well what happened ? Walleyes got scarce ! There is a MWT tournment this weekend. Weigh in at North Channel DNR site near the old Chris Craft factory. I'm Interested to see how well they done. Next year I will be ready for the complete tour.

(9) Walleye fishing the river this morning produce a nice brace of walleyes for Jeremy. After fishing we enjoyed a terrific lunch at the Marine City Fish Co. resteraunt. My favorite, a most try is the Italian Fisherman Plate. Also very good smoke ribs, jerky, and fish.

Walleye fishing last night for the whipper was good. Action slowes this morning after morning storm. Strong East wind and cold front put the bite down confused

Went fishing with Tom on the River. Used a jig tip with a rubber worm (motor oil color ) took home 4 walleyes, 1 coho, and sucker. Lost a least that many. Bite was not that great. Very sunny no wind with a lot of boat traffic. Considering the condition Tom said that was not a bad day. eek!
